In order to carry out necessary electrical work between Talegaon and Badalapur,the Central Railway has cancelled trains plying from Pune to Mumbai for eight hours on Sunday. The timings are from 10.10 am to 6.10 pm.
However,the railway administration has also conveyed that for the convenience of suburban (local) passengers,bus services has been arranged to Talegaon,Lonavala and Talegaon. Four trains,which include Deccan Express,Pragati Express,Pune-Manmad Express,and Pune Karjat passenger,have been cancelled. Some mail express trains which will be partially cancelled include: the Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus (Kolhapur) – CSTM Sahyadri Express leaving Kolhapur on Saturday which will be cancelled between Pune and CSTM, the CSTM-Kolhapur Sahyadri Express leaving CSTM at 5 pm which will be cancelled between CSTM and Pune and will run from Pune to Kolhapur, and the Kolhapur – CSTM Koyana Express leaving Kolhapur at 7.55 am which will be cancelled between Pune and CSTM. Apart from the express trains,the suburban local trains will also be affected on Sunday. The Up trains leaving Pune at 9.55 am,at 11.25 am,at 12 pm,at 1 pm,at 3.40 pm and 4.30 pm will only run up to Talegaon and not up to Lonavala. Similarly,the Down locals,leaving Lonavla at 10.05 am,at 11.30 am,at 1.55 pm,at 2.55 pm,at 3.45 pm and 5.20 pm will only run from Talegaon to Pune. Some trains will run later than their scheduled departure time: the Dadar-Hyderabad Holiday Special will run at 11 pm,six hours later than scheduled. The CSTM to Nagarcoil Express,Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Vishakhapatannam Express,CSTM to Hyderabad Express will also run four hours late.
