Assistant Regional Transport Officer Sanjeev Bhor recently won an honourable mention at the International Photography Awards (IPA) held this year.

Having pursued his passion for photography by travelling through the length and breadth of the country and clicking pictures,Assistant Regional Transport Officer Sanjeev Bhor recently won an honourable mention at the International Photography Awards (IPA) held this year. Bhor whose winning entry ‘Carcass’ won the mention in the Wildlife category says that the image of a hyena carrying a carcass and charging straight for the vehicle was shot at the Amboseli National Park in Kenya. “I shot it in the back drop of Mt Kilimanjaro when the animal was coming straight for our vehicle,” he says. He also won an award at the International Aperture Awards in Australia and the Viewers Choice Award at the National Geography Photography Contest last year.

On the Dance Floor

Known for his fluid dance sequences in Bollywood movies,singer and choreographer Ganesh Hegde will be releasing his album Lets Party today. And that is not all. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will attend the event to launch the album and lend his support. Hegde,who has worked with Khan for more than 15 years,says,”SRK has been like an elder brother and mentor for me. Whenever I requested him,he has always helped me. Even now,he adjusted his dates for the launch of my album.” Hegde is enthusiastic about the album and hopes that it is a super hit. His debut album G was released in 2005. In fact,he even sang the rap song Ek Sawaal Ka Sawaal Hai for the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati that was hosted by Khan.
