Theatre: Karandak enters final phase

Celebrating its 47 th year in succession,Purshottam Karandak has been synonymous with the name of theatre fest in the city.This year the fest’s first round was conducted from August 16 to 30,and the finals will be conducted on September 4 and 5 at Bharatnatya Sabhgraha. The final nine teams for this year are VIT,ILS Law College,Sinhgad Engineering College,PVG Engineering College,MIT,COEP,VIIT,Sinhagad College of Science and MMCC. The finals for the competition will be conducted in two rounds. The first round of the final was conducted on Saturday and round two will be condcuted on Sunday with 6 teams performing.The judges for the final round are Vidyagar Joshi from Mumbai,Dilip Bapat from Kolahpur,Vinita Pimpalkhare from Pune. Speaking about the event Hemant Vaidya,Secretary,Purushottam Karandak,says,” We are all ready for the finals and the teams have been performing well,we just hope the best team wins.”
