Sule has borrowed money from Sunetra Pawar, does not own a vehicle, shows election affidavit

Sunetra has lent Rs 2.32 crore in all to many people, including Supriya Sule and her mother Pratibha Pawar, while Ajit Pawar has lent Rs 6.2 crore to family members, including his mother and son. She has a loan of Rs 12.11 crore and Ajit Pawar has loan of Rs 4.74 crore.

Pitted against each other for the Lok Sabha elections in Baramati, NCP candidate Sunetra Pawar and her sister-in-law and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) candidate Supriya Sule will be fighting a tough contest in the bastion of the Pawar family.

However, despite being pitted against each other, relations between the Pawar family, especially between the two Baramati candidates, is very strong, as has been revealed in the affidavit submitted with the nomination forms of the candidates on Thursday.

According to the affaidavit, Sunetra Pawar has lent Rs 35 lakh to Sule and Rs 50 lakh to Pratibha Pawar, wife of NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar. Sule, in addition to borrowing money from Sunetra Pawar, has also borrowed Rs 20 lakh from Parth Pawar, son of Sunetra and Ajit Pawar. Interestingly, the Sule family does not own any vehicle.

In the affidavit furnished by Sunetra Pawar, the entire family owns property worth around Rs 121.45crore, of which Sunetra has Rs 70.96 crore while her husband and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has Rs 37.15 crore in various banks. She has investment of Rs 15.79 lakh in shares and mutual funds, in addition to Rs 34.88 lakh belonging to her husband.

Sunetra further owns a tractor and two trailers, the collective worth of which is around Rs 10.7 lakh. Ajit Pawar owns a tractor, three trailers, a Toyota camry and Honda CRV, all totalling to Rs 75.77 lakh.

According to Sunetra Pawar’s affidavit, she owns jewellery worth Rs 34.39 lakh, which includes gold ornaments of around 1kg and silver utensilts of around 35kg. Ajit Pawar owns jewellery worth Rs 29.33 lakh, which includes an idol of 21.5kg and silver items of 20kg.

The couple has made investment in transportation, warehousing and construction company, totalling to Rs 8.43 crore.

On the other hand, Supriya Sule, along with her husband Sadananad, own property worth Rs 166.5 crore. She has borrowed Rs 20 lakh from Parth Pawar and Rs 35 lakh from Sunetra Pawar. Incidentally, she and her husband don’t own any vehicle, according to the declaration.

Supriya has jewellery worth Rs 2.61 crore, which includes 927 gram of gold, 6,742gram silver and diamonds worth Rs 1.56 crore. Her husband has 2,195 gram of gold, 33,708 gram of silver and diamonds worth Rs 1.62 crore. Thus, the couple own jewellery worth around Rs 5.45 crore.

Supriya has investments only in India while her husband has investments abroad as well.
