The Open Roller Skating Championship concluded yesterday on NIBM Road,Kondhwa.
The roadskating race featured boys and girls from several age groups. Kevin Mayane won the gold medal in the Boys quad category,while Darpan Jagtap and Ameya Hande won silver and bronze respectively.
Among the girls,Siddhi Nalawade was crowned champion,followed by Disha Kulkarni and Rachna Rao.
The next competition was for in-line skating. Siddharth Bhawsa was the winner among the boys,while Piya Longani finished first in the girls category. Saurabh Kshirsagar and Lashika Hemnani were the runners-up in their respective categories,while third place went to Pradyumna Kumbhar in the boys section.
The final competition was between the roller skaters. Shantanu Mashke took top honours in the boys event,while Vedant Jadhavand and Manas Gadgil captured silver and bronze respectively. Radhika Mehta beat second placed Sakshi Powade and third-placed Mrunal Hole to lift the girls roller skating crown.
The tournament was organised by Students and Youth Union,Bajrangi Morya Pratishthan Maharashtra,and the prizes were given away by Mohan Singh Rajpal,the mayor of
Pune city.
