10 days before Ajit Pawar became Dy CM, PM said he was involved in Rs 70,000 crore corruption: Raj Thackeray
Thackeray said the kind of politics that is playing out in Maharashtra in last five years is because people don't get angry.

Criticising the politics playing out in Maharashtra in the last five years, president of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray said just 10 days before Ajit Pawar and his party joined hands with the BJP and the Shiv Sena to form the Mahayuti government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had alleged that he (Ajit Pawar) will be sent to jail as he was involved in a Rs 70,000 crore scam.
”Just 10 days before Ajit Pawar joined hands with BJP and became the Deputy Chief Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that Ajit Pawar would be sent to the jail as he was involved in a corruption worth Rs 70,000 crore,” said Thackeray at an election rally in Pune on Saturday.
Recounting the days of the formation of Mahayuti, the MNS chied said, “First Eknath Shinde and his 40 MLAs joined hands with BJP. When Eknath Shinde was asked by reporters about the reason for doing so, he said they don’t want to sit alongside Ajit Pawar (in the MVA). After sometime, Ajit Pawar joined hands the government…,” he said.
Thackeray said the kind of politics that is playing out in Maharashtra in last five years is because people don’t get angry. ”They don’t express their anger…We are always attached to some ideology or caste,” he said.
“It is not important whether a man is educated or not. It is important whether he is wise and sensible. Elections come and go, but we don’t apply our mind and choose the right candidate,” he said.
Thackeray said if he is voted to power even once, he will show how to run the government. ”Hand me over the reins once, I will show how to run the government for the sake of the people…I have already proved it in Nashik,” he said.
