The JainToday Social Foundation has come up with a novel idea for pursuading people to quit their bad habits.

The JainToday Social Foundation has come up with a novel idea for pursuading people to quit their bad habits. It has organised lucky draws for people and one especially for farmers.

The winners will get a two-wheeler-farmers will get a cow or bull (farmers). As per the lucky draw, who ever quits bad habits like chewing tobacco, smoking, drinking liquor,non-veg food along with their family should send in an application with their name and address.

A corporator/sarpanch or a medical officer of the local area and one reputed individual from the local area, should sign the application.

The participants should abstain from any bad habits at least till next anti–tobacco day on May 31,2010.

Commenting on the concept of pursuading people to quit bad habits,Ajay Munot, president,Jaintoday Social Foundation, said,“There are a lot of farmer suicides happening. And one of the reasons could be such bad habits. Also,as for chewing tobacco, the norms implemented by the government are not enough to pursuade the farmers to quit tobacco and hence we thought of this concept. At least by the hope of getting a cow or bull thje farmers might give up all of their bad habits.”
