Pune witnesses rain; slight dip in temperature

Wadgaonsheri with 16.5 mm, reported the highest rainfall, while Pashan reported 0.5 mm of rainfall. The rains have caused traffic snarls as well as some minor damages in the city.

Snarls and damages

As rains and strong winds were reported in various parts of Pune on Wednesday afternoon, the Pune Fire brigade responded to a hoarding collapse in Wagholi in which a car was damaged. Damage to vehicles was reported in at least four incidents of tree collapse in Kharadi, Manjari, Vadgaon Sheri and Shukrawar Peth. A wall collapse in a house was reported in Kasba Peth area. No casualties were reported in any of these incidents, fire brigade officials said.

On some of the arterial roads in the city, brief traffic snarls were reported during short intense spells of rain in parts of the city, officials said.
