(Twitter/ GaneshBidkarBJP) BJP leader Ganesh Bidkar Thursday received an anonymous extortion call over WhatsApp demanding Rs 25 lakh.
Following the call, Bidkar, 50, a resident of Somwar Peth, lodged a first information report (FIR) at the Cyber police station of the Pune city police.
As per the FIR, Bidkar received an anonymous call over WhatsApp while participating in a Ram Navami celebration around 9.30 pm on Thursday. The person who made the call abused Bidkar and demanded Rs 25 lakh while threatening to damage his political career.
