Three accused in Nayana Pujari rape and murder case got bail in another case of allegedly murdering an unidentified woman at Kharadi.
Cab drivers Yogesh Ashok Raut (24),Mahesh Balasaheb Thakur (24) and Vishwas Hindurao Kadam were arrested on December 19,2009,for Nayana Pujaris gangrape and murder.
Meanwhile,the police found a body of a woman at Kharadi. Police booked the three suspects for allegedly murdering the unidentified woman. A fresh complaint of murder was lodged against them at Yerawada police station. However,judicial magistrate (first class) S M Padolikar granted bail to the three as the police failed to file chargesheet against them within 90 days of their arrest.
Defence cousel B A Alloor told the court that police have not filed the charge sheet and there was no evidence to prove their involvement in the murder of the woman. On Wednesday,the Mundhwa police booked the three for allegedly gangraping and murdering one more woman,a vegetable vendor,residing at Dube Chawl near Hadapsar police station.
