The probe into a case registered against the director of a firm linked to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar for a deal involving government land in Pune’s Bopodi has been transferred from the Pune city police to the Economic Offences Wing.

Pravina Borde, the sub-divisional officer for the Pune sub-division, lodged an FIR at Khadak police station early on Friday, naming nine people, including Digvijay Amarsinh Patil, the director of Amadea Enterprises LLP, in which Parth is a partner.

It has been alleged in the FIR that between February 12, 2024, and July 1, 2025, Yewale, while performing his duties as Tehsildar, Pune city, at the Mamledar Kacheri in Shukrawar Peth, misused his powers and conspired with other accused to issue an illegal order that they have ownership of around 13 acres of land in Bopodi, belonging to the government’s agriculture department.

Commissioner of Pune police Amitesh Kumar confirmed that the case has been transferred to the EOW for further investigation. Sources in the police said they are probing into the document pertaining to the fraudulent land deal.

The FIR mentions that Yewale had also issued a letter illegally on June 9, 2025, for vacating the government land in Koregaon Park.

However, a separated FIR in connection with the Koregaon Park land scam was lodged at the Bavdhan police station in Pimpri Chinchwad against Digvijay Patil, Sheetal Tejwani, Ravindra Taru (now-suspended sub-registrar) on Thursday.

Patil is accused of fraudulent purchase of about 40 acres of land in the prime Koregaon Park area of Pune city, with a suspicious waiver of stamp duty of Rs 5.89 crores. On Friday, Deputy Chie Minister Ajit Pawar said that the agreement pertaining to this land deal stands cancelled.
