PMC administration draws corporator fire for wrong data

Corporators passed the environment status report (ESR) in the PMC general body meeting on Wednesday,even as they criticised the civic administration for wrong data in the birth and death department report. “It is shocking to see data of the birth and death department,which shows there have been no suicide in the city in the last few years,but it forgot to mention that a civic employee had committed suicide in the civic headquarters,” said Congress leader Arvind Shinde. He said the civic administration has also published inaccurate figures on population and literacy. The PMC administration also drew flak from Shiv Sena leader Ashok Harnaval,who said the civic body had failed to address deteriorating environment. “The biggest impact is that the sparrows have vanished,” he said.
