To prevent overcrowding and congestion during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at the Race Course in Pune, the city police have imposed a few traffic changes in the city on April 29.
Accordingly, the flow of traffic from Bishop School circle to the Turf Club will be kept closed from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Also, during this period, vehicles will not be allowed on the route between Arjun road junction (on Pune–Solapur highway) to the Turf club chowk, stated a press release issued today by Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic) Rohidas Pawar.
As per the press release, the road from Turf club main gate to Turf Club chowk will be closed to traffic between 4 pm and 9 pm on April 29.
Meanwhile, police have informed citizens that as per the requirement, the stretch between Golibar Maidan to Bhairoba Nala, Mor Odha to Bhairoba Nala (Empress Garden Road), Bhairoba Nala to Mor Odha and Mor Odha to Mammadevi, would be closed to traffic and vehicles will be diverted on alternate routes.
📌Police have made temporary parking arrangements for those who will be coming to the Race Course for the PM’s rally on April 29.
📌Police said people coming from Pune Solapur and Pune Saswad road should park their vehicles on the stretch from Bhairobanal to Wanwadi police chowk and Wanwadi Bazar to Mammadevi junction.
📌People coming from Ahmednagar highway and Pimpri Chinchwad should park their vehicles from Circuit house to Mor Odha, War Memorial to Ghorpadi railway station and Army Public School, Ghorpadigaon.
📌People coming from Pune Satara road, Sinhagad road and Swargate area should park their vehicles at Beur Road junction, Koyaji Road, Teen Tofa chowk, Bishop school area.
📌Buses should be parked in Ramtekdi Industrial Estate area. Parking facility for VIP vehicles has been made from Army Public School to Empress Garden.
