The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has made special arrangements to facilitate last-minute property tax payments. In view of the outstanding dues — approximately Rs 274 crore from residential and Rs 124 crore from commercial properties — the Property Tax Department has decided to keep all 18 regional tax offices and cash counters operational during the upcoming holidays.
On Saturday, March 29, the counters remained open from 9:45 am to 9:00 pm.
On Sunday, March 30 (Gudi Padwa) and Monday, March 31 (Eid), the counters will remain open till midnight, and will continue operations until the last citizen in queue is served.
Citizens have been urged to utilize this opportunity to clear their dues before the end of the financial year, officials said.
To avoid queues and save time, PCMC also encourages citizens to pay property tax from the comfort of their homes. Online payment can be made via the official portal https://publicptaxpcmc.in/ using credit/debit cards, BHIM UPI, post office cards, mobile wallets, and other digital methods.
“To support citizens, PCMC has kept its tax collection offices and cash counters open even on weekends and public holidays. I urge all property owners to take advantage of this facility and contribute to the city’s development by paying their taxes on time,” said Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh.
“To prevent inconvenience during the last days of the financial year, PCMC has ensured that all cash counters remain operational on holidays as well. Citizens can also use the online portal for quick and easy payment. We appeal to everyone to complete their tax payments before March 31,” said Pradip Jambhale Patil, Additional Commissioner, PCMC.
