Sonali Kulkarni,of Dil Chahta Hai fame,tied the knot in Pune yesterday in a very private ceremony

She is probably best remembered for her role in the film Dil Chahta Hai where she was paired opposite Saif Ali Khan,or as Hrithik Roshan’s mother in the film Mission Kashmir,but for Marathi actress Sonali Kulkarni her wedding,which took place in Pune on Monday was a quiet,low-key affair with only close family and friends being aware of the same. Speaking about it Vinod Satav,managing director of the recently launched Marathi cinema website Marathimanoranjan.com,says,Yes,I was aware of her marriage. She is getting married to Pant Vaidya,who works for Fox Studios and is a distant relative of her sister-in-law. I wish the married couple the very best.

Adding to it veteran actor Mohan Agashe said he too was aware of the wedding but also mentioned that it was a very low-key affair with only the immediate family in attendance.

Apart from very close family members,her wedding left much of the film fraternity and her friends in the dark. Sanjay Shete,a family friend who was also unaware of the same says that he hadnt been in contact with Kulkarni for the past six months,which was probably why the news hadnt been communicated to him. Amongst those of her co-actors model turned actor Sameer Dharmadhikari says, I wish that they have a lovely and long married life. Wo sada saubhagyavati rahe.”

Veteran actor Nana Patekar too wished her a happy married life and said that it was her right to keep the occasion a completely priavte affair.
