The Regional Passport Office in Pune will hold a mobile passport camp at Narayangaon in Junnar taluka from September 17 to 19 to provide faster access to passport services. The van will be stationed at Muktai Samaj Mangal Karyalay for the three days. A similar camp was held at Narayangaon from September 10 to 12.
Officials have advised passport applicants to carefully read the checklists before submitting applications online. To check an applicant’s genuineness, the passport authority may make all such enquiries and require all such additional information and documents as may be considered necessary.
i. Visit the Passport India website (https://www.passportindia.gov.in) and submit the application under the NORMAL scheme.
ii. After making the online payment, go to the ‘schedule appointment page’, select the location ‘Mobile Van, Narayangaon’, and book the appointment.
Before submitting online applications and visiting Passport Seva Kendras or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, applicants have to download the mAadhaar and Digilocker mobile apps and fetch their birth certificates, Aadhaar,
Class 10 certificates, and other documents on these apps for verification purposes.
Smart ID cards—or documents such as Aadhaar, PAN cards, and voter IDs printed on plastic by private entities—will not be accepted, officials have noted, adding that Aadhaar is not acceptable as proof of one’s date of birth.
Applicants are advised to desist from dealing with agents or touts who may make false promises about arranging an earlier appointment or faster passport service delivery. The Government has not authorised any such intermediary/representatives.
