MindSpark kicks off from today

More than 10,000 students will participate in MindSpark,the annual festival of College of Engineering Pune,scheduled to begin from Friday.

More than 10,000 students will participate in MindSpark,the annual festival of College of Engineering Pune (CoEP),scheduled to begin from Friday. Into its seventh consecutive year now,the three-day event aims to develop practical technology for the masses,besides giving students a platform to showcase their talent.

“MindSpark 2013 will encompass more than 50 exhilarating events designed to incorporate technical advances of the highest magnitude from every field. Apart from technical events,this year our festival is associating with a couple of NGOs to raise social awareness among students,” said an official release.

Among different events,a street play to be performed by CoEP’s Janeev club highlighting the crimes against woman will be one of the attractions. Mayor Chanchala Kondre will inaugurate the MindSpark 2013,while Padma Shri recipient scientist Amitav Mallik is scheduled to attend the valedictory function.
