Vivanta by Taj Blue Diamond is celebrating Parsi New Year this weekend and also has a coffee appreciation evening on the agenda at Latitude. The lunch and dinner buffet include delectable dishes like Patrani-Macchi,Chicken Farcha,Kolmino,Patio,Mori Dal,and Laganu Custard. The coffee appreciation evening will be held today evening from 4.30 pm onwards and those participating will get a chance to try out different blends like Espresso Dolce,Intenso,and Delicato. They will also learn about coffee plantations,the process of harvesting coffee and the different types of coffee.

Godrej’s Nature’s Basket at Dhole Patil Road is having a month-long Mexican Food Festival. A culinary demo was organised on Thursday wherein Chef Utkarsh Mangalik of La Pizzeria dished out some easy-to-prepare Mexican starters for the attendees. On the menu were Nachos with Re-fried Beans and Cheese,Cheese Corn Balls,and Veg Quesadillas. “People now prefer to host parties at home rather than at restaurants and these appetisers are perfectly easy to prepare, says Chef Mangalik,adding that the event will be held every few months. We would like to move on to preparing pastas,and other starters in the future so that more and more people can learn how to make them. For the demo,we used cheeses that are easily available off the shelves. We want people to come as close as they can to the restaurant experience, he says.
