Culinary delight
With its decor in the ancient Greek style,having rough walls,cane chairs,ropes as door handles and artefacts on walls,one expects to be served food from the Mediterranian. However,By The Way, which recently opened on FC Road,begs to differ -they have on offer Indian,Thai and Oriental food,along with food from the Mediterranian – in the form of Italian and Continental. Boasting of both indoor and outdoor seating,the restaurant has many dishes on offer – the unique Ice Kebab,where shards of ice contrast strikingly with the soft meat; vegetable in plum sauce,Vietnami chicken,and their speciality – the roast chicken,which is served with mashed potatoes and cheese dip. They offer breakfast – pancakes,french toast and baked beans on toast. For dessert,they have a combination of a spice and an icecream,called the spice cream.

The land of the five rivers is traditionally a rich source of food,which is why The Great Kebab Factory is holding the Punjabi Food Festival. Cooked in seven different styles,the eatery has on offer food from the the undivided North Indian state. On offer are the Jalandari seekh kebab,Machhi Amritsari,Pind de Chole and Kabuli chana,which is best had with a kulcha or bhatura. Also there are desserts like Moong Dal ka Halwa,Phirni and Jalebi with Rabri.
