Punettes continued to extend support for Anna Hazare with the same enthusiasm,as people marched on the streets of the city. At Balgandharva Chowk,relay fasts continued and youngsters were seen on bikes sloganeering and getting the tricolour painted on their faces.

Dr Sharad Raichikar of India Against Corruption told The Indian Express that though they did not have any events planned on Friday,the relay fasts continued and there a march was held in Nigdi.

Art of Living members carried out a march while youths carried out a separate march in Hinjewadi. IOC has formed the ‘I am Anna Club’ and have lined out a series of exciting activities from August 19-22.

On Saturday,a human chain will be formed before Marz-O-Rin from 5 pm-7 pm while on Sunday there will be shramdaan carried out on Saturday from Fergusson College main gate to Good Luck Chowk from 9 am-10 am. Citizens can gather on the footpath outside Fergusson College and sweep the foothpaths of F C Road to Symbiosis sweeping out corruption while a climb for Anna on Parvati hill protesting against corruption in Gandhigiri sytle by placing a rose in front of the symbolic corruption poster will be arranged between 5.30 pm-7 pm. On Monday morning ‘I am Anna’ drawing and painting competition will be arranged at Sarasbaug for participants between the age of three years-100 years.

On Friday members of the Maharashtra Rikshaw Sena carried out a rally in support of Hazare under Nana Kshirsagar and the Labour Law Practioners Association of Pune have put up their demands to have private companies,organisations,banks and trusts under the Lokpal bill and oraganised a rally between Swargate to Rani Laxmibai chowk.

Among the hundreds who have been participating in the relay fast at Balgandharva Chowk include B B Somani,Deepak Bharadia,Dr Satish Rajmachikar,Jugal Rathi,Sandeep Khardekar,Aniket Deshmukh,Ganesh Bakale,Bhagwan Kulkarni and Dhawal Gulhane. “There are several people who are participating everyday in the relay fast which begin from 8 am to 8 pm and against from 8 pm to 8 am,” said Khardekar.
