Man out on bail hacked to death in Kalewadi

A man out on bail in an attempt-to-murder case was hacked to death by five persons at Kalewadi on Sunday afternoon. Rakesh Ghule,22,was at a restaurant with friends and had come out to talk on his cellphone when he was attacked. Senior inspector GS Mandgulkar of Hinjewadi police said,“Ghule was earlier arrested on charges of attempt to murder. The case was registered at Bhosari police station.”

Crime Branch (unit II) has arrested three — Santosh Puravat,Hyder Sayyed and Avinash Bansode — in connection with the murder.
