(Representational Image)PUNE POLICE Thursday arrested four persons for allegedly murdering a Mumbai-based man — one of the accused is the brother-in-law of the deceased’s live-in partner.
Police said the deceased was identified as Joe Manual Parera, aged around 40 years and a resident of Kalina.
The accused were identified as the live-in partner’s brother-in-law Yogesh Dattu Mane (42) of Warje Malwadi; and his aides Dhiraj Salunkhe (40) of Bhavani Peth in Pune, Ashok Mahadev Thorate (35) of Beed and Ganesh Rahate (35) of Amravati.

“Joe was in the business of selling fish tanks. After he had a spat with his live-in partner, the latter’s brother-in-law Yogesh Mane and his three aides went to Mumbai. They attacked Joe with a hard object at his home on Wednesday, and dumped his body in the bushes in the Mulshi area. We have handed over the accused persons to Paud police station,” said inspector Mankar.
Police inspector Manoj Yadav of Paud police station said, “We have registered an offence of murder in this case. Along with the four men, we have also named Dolly, the live-in partner of the deceased Joe Parera, as an accused in this case. As per our probe, the accused killed Joe because he was allegedly harassing Dolly.”
