Maharashtra records 68 new Covid cases, 15 from Pune

As many 68 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Maharashtra Saturday taking the total toll of active cases in the state to 485. Of the 68 cases, 15 were reported from Pune.

Pune Municipal Corporation officials said that all the patients had mild symptoms.

Since January this year, Maharashtra has reported 749 cases of Covid- 19, of which 435 cases were reported in May.

While Mumbai logged 30 new cases, Pune reported 15 and Pimpri Chinchwad saw six new cases.

While Thane reported eight new cases, Navi Mumbai , Nagpur, Kalyan, Dombivali and Raigad reported one new case each. Seven deaths that have been reported are confirmed positive with Covid 19.

Maharashtra has stepped up surveillance to identify Covid-19 cases. From January till date, a total of 10,915 were tested and 749 persons were detected with Covid-19.
