Maharashtra Krida Inter-IT tournament: L&T Infotech,Cognizant win

In as early as the seventh minute of the game,the tide began to turn in their favour when Harshad Yadav who began racing through the SQS midfield,was found unmarked. A deft touch saw the ball land towards him. Yadav,who was left unattended did not fail to miss the opportunity and landed the ball well placed beyond the custodian in the right hand corner of the SQS net.

The game,which progressed at a frenetic pace post the goal,saw Geometric forwards constantly making in roads into the defence of SQS. Another blunder on the part of the SQS defence saw Sahin Patil tap the ball into the back of the SQS net. In the 39th minute of the game,two of the SQS players — Anupam Kher and Vikram Singh — were booked for tackling. Paresh Deshmukh then sealed the game for Geometric when he scored a blinder that left the keeper rooted to the spot.

Another highly anticipated game was between IBM and Tata Technologies. While the game looked promising right from the onset,it played out to be a stale draw when both sides managed to score solitary goals each — Vijay Kamane in the 20th minute for IBM— which was nullified by Suraj Dhamdare in the 38th minute for Tata Technologies.
