Language,soft skill training for city cops

In a move to improve the linguistic skills of the Pune police,as many as 35 cops attached to the police control room,are being trained in English conversation and soft skills.

In a move to improve the linguistic skills of the Pune police,as many as 35 cops attached to the police control room,are being trained in English conversation and soft skills. They are the cops who deal with citizen calling on the 100 number for seeking sthe ervices of the Pune police for various reasons.

A press release issued by the Pune police says that the training in English conversation started on April 12.

The training is conducted by Bansilal Ramlal Agarwal Charitable Trust Vishwakarma Institute led by Rajmukar and Bharat Agarwal. The trust appointed Lata Krishnamurti,an English conversation trainer for the purpose.

Krishamurti has trained the police team including female cops in how to speak with the people,especially the foreign nationals,who call at the control room number 100 in English. She also provided training to the cops on how to interact with the office staff and colleagues in English. Krishnamurti also told the cops the techniques to improve vocabulary of English words,it was stated.
