Japanese language speech contest

The Consulate General of Japan,Mumbai,Indo-Japanese Association in Pune and Japan Foundation will jointly organise the 22nd West Zone Japanese Language Speech Contest 2009-10.

The Consulate General of Japan,Mumbai,Indo-Japanese Association in Pune and Japan Foundation will jointly organise the 22nd West Zone Japanese Language Speech Contest 2009-10 at Pudumjee Hall of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce,Industries and Agriculture on Tilak Road on Saturday.

Apart from Maharashtra,the speech contest is open to all students of the Japanese language from Gujarat,Madhya Pradesh,Goa and Chhattisgarh.

Students studying for the Japanese Language Preparation Test (JLPT) will participate in the junior and senior level rounds.

The contest will be held in two categories with a total number of 24 participants – 12 in the junior level and 12 in the senior level.

The contest will be judged by the principal and teachers of the Bombay Japanese School,representatives of the Japan Foundation and members of the Japanese Association.

The preliminary rounds of the Japanese Language Speech Contest were conducted in January.

Tamon Mochida,Consul General of Japan in Mumbai,will attend the event.
