An Indo-US Education Conclave,aimed at exploring the new avenues for Indo-US Collaborations in higher education sector,will be held here from December 5 to 7. A US delegation of 25 federal legislators and 21 leading universities like Princeton,Florida and John Hopkins,is expected to attend the conclave.
The event will be jointly organised by the State Legislative Leaders Foundation,US (SLLF),Alliance for US India Business (AUSIB) and D Y Patil University,Pune (DPU). The Government of Maharashtra is a partner state of the event,which is supported by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Maharashtra University for Health Sciences (MUHS). MM Activ Sci Tech Communications and KPMG are the knowledge partners in this initiative.
Sanjay Puri,founder president,AUSIB,and chairman of US India Political Action Committee,said the conclave would serve as a platform for leaders from India and the US to explore opportunities and strengthen the Indo-US alliance.
Deliberations will be held on areas like medical education,distance,online and vocational education,academic mentorship and student mobility. The conclave will be inaugurated by Governor K Sankaranarayanan while Union Ministers Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sharad Pawar will attend.
