‘Improving PMPML service is only solution to traffic problem’

Pandhare and other police officials also jotted down the solutions offered by the citizens. In the Traffic Junta Darbar,Manikrao Akolkar,senior PI,Wanowrie Traffic Division said,“The reason behind this meeting is to understand the concerns of the people. The outputs from this meeting will be implemented in the Hadapsar-Wanowrie belt in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB).” He also said that during the Palkhi day celebrations on June 15,traffic will be diverted from the Swargate-Hadapsar road.

Munir Shaikh of Hadapsar,associated with the Citizen’s Traffic Committee said,“The solutions that come out of such interactions are helpful. For instance,the one way traffic flow implemented on the Mantri market-Sasane Nagar junction has proved beneficial. Meetings like this should be organised once in every two months.”
