Rise of the Poets
Finnish band,Poets of the Fall gave their maiden performance in Pune on August 25 at Hard Rock Cafe. In an electrifying performance that had fans screaming for encores, the band played hits from their albums like Carnival of Rust and songs from their new album,Temple of Thought. The band, comprising vocalist Marko, guitarist Olli and Captain,on the keyboard, have visited India in the past but this is their first all India tour,in cities such as Bangalore,Delhi,Pune,Hyderabad and Kolkata. The Indian audience is always a pleasure to perform for; they are wild and never hold back, which is great, said vocalist Marko before the concert. We always have a great time here and go back with some great stories about the people. The last time we were here,we saw a monkey go into someone’s house and scare a person there who then came out screaming in his underpants. We only get to see that here, he said. The band members also enjoy Indian food such as Palak Paneer and Biryani on their visits to the country and are looking forward to trying out new things.
