A partial line-up for the Pune edition of upcoming Bacardi NH7 Weekender music festival,to be held from October 18 to 20,is out. The performances include international artistes across a variety of genres. While the progressive rock section features Textures from Netherlands and Meshuggah from Sweden,electro artistes include Benga and Simian Mobile Disco from the UK,and Michael Menert from the US. The line-up also includes exclusive performances by Midival Punditz,a collective featuring Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj who have pioneered a unique live set-up — synchronising,jamming,remixing and creating music on stage while screening videos in the background that capture real-time images and clips from their previous performances. Vir Das and Alien Chutney,Mumbai-based comedy rock band that recently released its single titled Tadka,is also geared to have the audience in splits. Folk fusion band The Raghu Dixit Project makes a comeback after last year,and Papon and the East India Company will also be back after its performance here in 2011. Mumbai-based bands Devoid and Scribe will take the stage with trash and hardcore metal. Other performers include Blackstratblues,Dualist Inquiry,Parvaaz,Nucleya,Suman Sridhar with Jiver and Prateek Kuhad. efs

Watch Bharatanatyam renditions of Pushpanjali Allaripu,

Ganesha Pancharatnamala and Padam (Ada Vanden) at the arangetram of Tanvi Samudra,a Class VI student at Abhinav Vidyalaya English Medium School. Samudra is among the youngest Bharatanatyam students in the city to have an arangetram,says her guru,Vasundhara Sreedharan,whose institute Nrityanjali is presenting the programme. The programme begins at 5 pm on Saturday at Yashwantrao Chavan Audiorium,Kothrud.
