Express News Service April 17 Judicial Magistrate (First Class) G G Itkalkar granted one-day police custody to the four accused for beating up the employees of Gokul dairy and taking Rs. 6.30 lakh on Sunday in Erandwana. Balbhim Sadashiv Kamble (43),of Warje lodged a complaint Kothrud police station in this regard. Tejas Champalal Unecha (24) of Dhankwadi,Prashat alias Bunty Kadam (24) of Kadam Chawl in Kothrud,Sanjay Govardhan Londhe (24) of Gosavi lane in Kothrud and Rajesh Subre (20) are the named of the suspects arrested by the police. During investigations the police recovered Rs. 10,600 cash,three motorcycles,three weapons and two mobiles from the accused. Earlier,the police arrested seven accused in the case and the court remanded them to police custody till April 18. Public Prosecutor VV Ausekar argued that that police custody of the accused is necessary as the police needs to find out where the accused have kept the stolen money. According to the remand report filed by the police,on Sunday morning Vijay Kelkar,manager of the dairy,Chintamani Ghate,supervisor and watchman Ajit Ali closed the dairy at around 9.25. Kamble and Ghate were carrying the day's collection of Rs. 6.30 lakh with them on a scooter and were on the way to deposit it at a bank on Karve road. When they were passing by Jan Seva Dattaashram in Erandwana three unidentified persons on a bike suddenly stopped in front of them. One of the accused hit Kamble and Kelkar,who was riding the bike with a sharp weapon and injured them. Kamble and Kelkar fled the scene. The accused opened the scooters dicky and stole a blue bag containing Rs. 6.30 lakh in cash and eight cheques. The police arrested Kadam on Thursday evening,Unecha on Friday at 12.30 am and Londhe and Subre at 1.30 pm on Friday.
