The event will feature drawing and handwriting contests tailored for special-needs children. (Representational Image)The Empress Garden Flower Show Exhibition 2024 comprising artistic arrangements of flowers, vegetable competitions, and creation of decorative leaf pots, will be held in Pune from January 25 to 28.
Managed by the Agri-horticulture Society of Western India since 1890, the exhibition will be inaugurated by Vijayakumar Magar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Department, said Suresh Pingle, Honorary Secretary of Empress Botanical Garden.
Participants from Pune and Kolhapur, Sangili, Nashik, and Andhra Pradesh, and nursery professionals from various locations will participate in the flower show which will be held from 9 am to 7:30 pm. There is no fee for participation and citizens can also showcase multiple flowers from their gardens in the competition.

Almost 1,000 to 1,200 students from schools across Maharashtra will also take part in this event. Based on Japanese-style flower arrangements, bonsai trees will also be exhibited by contestants.
