Police have booked the car driver Sameer Bhaijan Nadaf (26) of Thergaon in this case, under sections 281, 125 (a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.

In yet another incident of drunk driving, a speeding car knocked down a two-wheeler, leaving two persons injured in Thergaon. The victim Sonali Jangam (38) of Rahatani, lodged the FIR in this case at Wakad police station on Saturday.

Police have booked the car driver Sameer Bhaijan Nadaf (26) of Thergaon in this case, under sections 281, 125 (a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.

As per Pimpri Chinchwad police, Sonali, her husband Vishal and son were on their way home on a two wheeler, from Dange chowk on the night of July 18. Her husband was riding the two wheeler, while she was sitting at the back with her son.

Around 10.30 pm, a speeding car knocked them on the road near Signature Park Society in Thergaon, the police said, leaving Sonali and Vishal injured. The car driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, police said, adding that they are investigating the case further.
