Deccan XI A defeated CMS Falcons 4-1 in the super league match of the super division of the Peninsula Land Pune Football League organised by Pune District Football Association at Range Hills football ground on Thursday.
Deccan FC dominated most of the proceedings. They started on the front foot and created a lot of chances for themselves. They won a few freekicks but failed to convert any of them. They kept the pressure on and were rewarded for it in the 23rd minute when Gaurav Chaphalkar scored the goal gave a vital lead. Falcons were stuck in their own half for the rest of the first period and found it hard to create opportunities. The half ended 1-0.
In the second match of the day Pune FC got a walkover as City Club failed to show up.
