Cong holds ‘corner meet’ to seek answers from BJP
Speaking to mediapersons, the Congress leader said the BJP sought votes by invoking the martyred jawans but the central government did not file a chargesheet against anyone who was responsible for the attack.

The city unit of the Congress held a ‘corner meeting’ on Friday to demand answers from the BJP on the Pulwama issue.
Taking on the BJP-led Union government over the claims made by former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on the Pulwama attack, state Congress spokesperson and general secretary Sachin Sawant urged the party to respond to the allegations.
“The BJP had used the issue of surgical strikes after Pulwama attack during the campaign for the 2019 elections… however, the BJP has forgotten the pain of 40 families who lost their sons in the Pulwama attack,” he said.
Former city chief Ramesh Bagawe said the ‘corner meeting’ was meant to seek the reply of BJP on the ‘Pulwama disclosures’. “Our leader Rahul Gandhi has been urging us not to have any fear while pointing out the wrongdoings of the BJP government. We are seeking a reply on the revelations about Pulwama attack made by the former Jammu and Kashmir governor,” he said, adding that more such ‘corner meetings’ will be organised in the coming days.
Earlier in the day, state Congress spokesperson Gopal Tiwari accused BJP of raising the emotional issue of Pulwama and India-Pakistan in the campaign for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the sake of coming back to power.
Speaking to mediapersons, the Congress leader said the BJP sought votes by invoking the martyred jawans but the central government did not file a chargesheet against anyone who was responsible for the attack.
