Major General Surendra Singh Panwar has taken over as commandant of Command hospital. He took over the command from his predecessor Major General A C Anand who has now been appointed as Major General (Medical) at HQ Southern Command.
Maj Gen S S Panwar graduated from the King George Medical College,Lucknow and was commissioned in the army medical corps on January 2,1977.

Maj Gen Panwar has held various appointments before taking over as Commandant including senior advisor,ENT at Army Hospital (RR) New Delhi and brigadier (Medical) in an operational corps in the northern sector before taking over the command.
