College student abducted,raped

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by four youths while she was on her way to college.

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by four youths while she was on her way to college. The victim,a resident of Chindauri village,was going to her college Monday when four men forcefully pulled her inside a car near Rasna Ashram and took her to a field and raped her. After hearing her cry for help,nearby villagers rescued her and nabbed two,police said. One of the arrested,Ashu (20),was known to the girl,they added.

Man gets life for raping minor

A man was Tuesday sentenced to life by a local court for raping a minor Dalit girl. According to prosecution,in January 1994,the victim (15) was raped for several days by Kunwar Sen and Hawaldwar Singh in Kadarchowk town. Based on evidences,Special Judge (SC/ST) Harihar Prasad sentenced Singh to life,they said. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 2,500 on the accused. Another accused Kunwar Sen died during the course of trail,they said.
