Cloud cover over parts of the city is a regular phenomena associated with the beginning of summer,said Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials. Although formation of thunder clouds is expected within the next 48 hours,chances of rainfall are slim.
SB Gaonkar of the IMD said the cloud cover was due to formation of a trough along with wind discontinuity.

Such formations are normal and they herald the beginning of summer. Similar cloud formation have been noticed in Vidharbha,Marathwada and some other parts of the state.
The cloud formation,however,had no effect on the maximum and minimum temperature of city. The minimum temperature is expected to dip by 2 to 3 degree,which is within the normal range.
Although chances of development of thunderclouds is high especially towards the afternoon,probability of rainfall is slim. Rainfall if any would be witnessed in Marathwada,and Vidharbha only.
