Court orders probe against scam accused
The Bombay High Court on Thursday directed the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to initiate departmental inquiry against officials allegedly involved in the scam related to transfer of development rights (TDR) in Kothrud. The anti-corruption bureau had implicated a few officials for issuing TDR for plot that was compensated by the civic body in the past.
Four held for attacking,looting truck driver
Vadgaon Maval police have arrested four persons for allegedly assaulting and looting a truck driver on old Pune-Mumbai Highway past midnight on Wednesday. The accused Atish Tapale (26),Mayur Sutar (21),Akshay Kude (19) and Saurabh Shilwant (19) allegedly attacked one Rehman Shaikh near New English School around 12.45 pm and looted Rs 6,500 and a cellphone from him. Station house officer Ramesh Pote said,The four are residents of Vadgaon; they have been sent to police custody for three days.
