The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has started additional 100 buses between Pune and Konkan region till August 31 for the Ganpati rush. The non-AC Parivartan buses have been brought into the city from Vidarbha and Marathwada. About 1,500 extra buses are running from Mumbai,Thane and Panvel for Konkan.

Nawale bail rejected

Additional Sessions Judge S P Tavade on Monday rejected anticipatory bail plea of Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES) founder M N Navale,but granted bail to Kiran Kothadiya,Abhay Joshi and Amrutlal Shah in an alleged case of land-grabbing. Pawan Gandhi Charity Trust (PGCT’s) had complained that Nawale had cheated them and acquired 11.5 acres land in Sutarwadi- Ambadvet in Mulshi taluka. Navale’s lawyer Sureshchandra Bhosale told the court that the investigation is complete and the documents have been seized. Gandhi’s lawyer Abhay Sirsat opposed the bail plea stating that prima facie forgery was done. He also stated that the accused are influential persons and they might interfere in the investigation.
