For the second consecutive year,the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of Class X examination of 2013 for Chennai region,which includes Pune,with no prior intimation,apparently to do away with the hype. The results were declared online on Sunday evening.
Available on the boards official website (http://cbseresults.nic.in ),the results can also be accessed by dialling telephone number 91-11-24300699 from any part of the world.
Several city schools,including most of the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs),have registered cent per cent results.
KV,Ganeshkhind,from where a total of 124 students appeared for the examination,has a total of 21 students scoring a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 10. We were not aware that the results would be out on Sunday. It came as a surprise for us as well as students, said school principal Kirti Sharma.
From Delhi Public School,as many as 58 students have scored 10 CGPA out of the 192 who appeared for the examination. DAV Public School,Aundh,has 79 students with a CGPA score of 10,out of the total 297.
City International School,Kothrud,is another local school scoring cent per cent results,with all 30 students clearing the examination with good score and one girl student scoring a CGPA of 10. Commenting on the surprise announcement of results by CBSE,school principal Nirmala Waddan said the move might have been taken in keeping with its motto to keep students stress-free.
Jnana Prabhodhini Prashala,another CBSE-affiliated school,has recorded 100 per cent results with 41 students scoring a CGPA of 10. A total of 80 students had appeared for the examination.
Among other schools,KV,CME,has registered 100 per cent results with its 10 students scoring a CGPA of 10. From Vikhe Patil Memorial School,a total of 115 students appeared and 26 of them scored a CGPA of 10.
Speaking to Newsline,CBSE officials from New Delhi said they were in the process of declaring Class XII results scheduled to be announced on Monday and were therefore not in a position to share Class X statistics for Chennai region.
