With an aim to eradicate child labour and ensure every child in the city is enrolled in schools,Sandvik Asia Pvt Ltd in collaboration with NGO Doorstep recently launched a child count campaign.

With an aim to eradicate child labour and ensure every child in the city is enrolled in schools,Sandvik Asia Pvt Ltd in collaboration with NGO Doorstep recently launched a child count campaign.
Ajay Sambrani,MD,Sandvik Asia Pvt Ltd,urged all its employees to visit tea stalls,pan shops,construction sites and localities around their residences to identify such kids.
If employees spot child labourers anywhere,they should report the matter to Doorstep through a dedicated number, he said.
At a day-long programme held at Sandvik Asia recently,child labourers who took to formal education shared their experiences.
Ambewadikar,Country Head-HR,Sandvik,said,It was an emotional moment to spend time with these children . We would like to extend all our support to the cause.
Founder of Doorstep Rajni Paranjpe spoke about the vicious relation between child labour and poverty.
