Two men hailing from Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar district were allegedly found dead in the Moshi area of Pimpri Chinchwad on Saturday, their bodies hanging from the same branch of a neem tree.

The police identified the deceased as Tushar Ashok Dhage, 25, and Sikander Sallauddin Shaikh, 30, residents of Pimpalgaon in Ahilyanagar’s Jamkhed taluka.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Dhage and Shaikh were friends and worked as private drivers. “No suicide note was found on their bodies. Investigation is on to know the reason behind their death. Their family members have been informed,” said Shivaji Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pimpri Chinchwad.

The probe also revealed that the deceased arrived in Pune a couple of days ago. The police are probing the purpose of their visit.

Officers said Shaikh was married, adding that he may have been disturbed following a quarrel at home. However, all angles are being investigated, the police stated.
