Ajit Pawar–led NCP lists its star campaigners; Dilip Walse-Patil is out of action

Walse-Patil’s name figured in the list of 37 star campaigners that NCP released on Thursday.

Akin to its alliance partner, Sena and NCP have not included the names of the Prime Minister, Home Minister or other top BJP leaders in its list. ”Our list names our star campaigners, but top BJP leaders including the PM and Home Minister will certainly hold rallies to support our candidates,” NCP chief spokesperson Umesh Patil said.

Patil, however, said that though Walse-Patil has been injured, it is expected that he will join the campaign as soon as he recovers. ”He is our star campaigner,” he said.

NCP star campaigners include Ajit Pawar– party’s national president, Praful Patel–working president, Sunil Tatkare– general secretary, ministers including Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde, Hasan Mushrif, Dharma Rao Baba Atram, Anil Bhaidas Patil, Sanjay Bansode, Aditi Tatkare, Subodh Mohite–national general secretary, Brij Mohan Srivastava–national general secretary, KK Sharma– national general secretary, Syed Jalauddin–national general secretary, Baba Ziauddin Siddiqui–former minister, Rupali Chakanka; MLCs Amol Mitkari, Vikram Kale and Satish Chavan; MLAs including Sunil Tingre, Indranil Naik, Sunil Shelke, Chetan Tupe, Nitin Pawar, Rajendra Shingane, Dattatray Bharne; Umesh Patil–chief spokesperson, Samir Bhujbal–former MP; Amar Singh Pandit–former MLC; Najib Mullah, Suraj Chavan, Kalyan Akhade, Sunil Magare and Idris Naikwadi.
