Pune’s special new year event with performances by physically challenged

Members of the National Association for the Welfare of Physically Challenged (NAWPC) gathered at the premises of the institution to welcome the New Year with songs, dance and poetry on January 7.

Chief guest of the event NCP’s city chief Deepak Bhau Mankar promised to donate his land in Bavdhan for the organisation.

While Adinath Ingole, a blind student, performed a song based on New Year, Sanjana, a visually impaired student, performed the popular dance ‘Chandra’.

Visually impaired students Shravani and Sulochana presented Lavani performances. Daulat, another visually impaired student who studied at the institute and got a job at SBI, hosted a poetry event.

“NAWPC has done exemplary social work under the guidance of founder Rahul Deshmukh…The institute needs a big space to start residential projects. So I would like to donate my land,” said Mankar.
