Seven people were injured after a speeding dumper collided with a private bus near Navale Bridge in Pune early on Friday morning. The police said the accident took place at around 7 am and the dumper, which was travelling from the Mumbai side, rear-ended the bus. The accident took place in an accident-prone area on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway between Katraj and Narhe. This patch of the highway has two major accident black spots – Navale Bridge and Selfie Point. After receiving information about the accident, a team of Pune city police rushed to the spot. “Several people, including the dumper driver and six bus passengers, received minor injuries in the mishap. The process of lodging the first information report (FIR) is on,” Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar of Sinhagad Road police station said. The injured were provided medical treatment, the police said.
