6-year-old girl drowns in Pimpri Chinchwad waterpark, police arrest manager, supervisor

Senior Inspector Shivaji Gaware said, “A while after the family members came to Sentosa Resorts and Waterpark, they entered the swimming pool which is around three and half feet deep. There were a lot of people in the pool at the time. Some time later, the girl could not be seen in the pool. The mother and the authorities at the facility started looking for her and found her unresponsive in one corner of the pool. She was taken out and a cardiopulmonary resuscitation was administered. She showed some signs of revival and was rushed to a hospital. However, she was pronounced dead.”

After the initial investigation, the police booked the manager, supervisor and the owner of the resort under Indian Penal Code section related to causing death by negligence. Senior Inspector Gaware said, “We have arrested the manager Rahul More and supervisor Sagar Kale.”
