50th Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani to kick off in Pune

The Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RBVP), a national level event to inculcate scientific interest in children will be held at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra from 26 to 31 December 2023.

The NCERT organises it every year, in collaboration with one of the states or UTs, by rotation. This year it has been organised in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, who are hosting it for the third time since its inception.

The event will be inaugurated by the Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Director, National Council of Educational Research and Training, Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani and Joint Director, Professor Sridhar Srivastava will also grace the occasion.

In the present exhibition, 172 scientific exhibits are invited to participate. They are from 167 schools of 27 States, UTs and 6 organisations like KVS, NVS, CBSE affiliated public schools, and others. Out of the 167 schools, 77 are from rural areas, 85 from urban areas and 4 from semi-urban areas with one school representing tribal students. Around 120 girls and 150 boys and a total 180 contributing teachers across the country will showcase their projects.

The themes for this year’s projects are: Advancement in information and communication technology, eco-friendly materials, transport and innovation, environmental concerns, historical development with current innovation and mathematics and us.
