4 from family escape unhurt as tree falls over car in Pune

Four persons from a family escaped unhurt after a tree fell on their car in Pune’s Bhugaon on Sunday morning.

Pune Fire Brigade officials have identified the four persons as Ananda Aamle, 70, his wife Vijaya Aamle, 65, and their sons Rohidas Aamle, 38, and Ganesh Aamle, 36.

They said the Aamle family was passing through a road near Ellora Wines in Bhugaon in their car, when a tree fell over the vehicle all of a sudden. Local residents informed the fire brigade about the incident.

“Rohidas Aamle was driving the car. By the time we reached the spot, all four people in the car had moved out safely. None of them were injured in the incident,” said fire officer Sunil Name.

Using a chainsaw and axes, firefighters cut the fallen tree over the car and cleared the road for traffic.
