In the recently declared Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Advanced results, Yuvaraj Gupta, a student from Mumbai, emerged as the Maharashtra topper with a score of 315/360. With an All India Rank of 13, Gupta is thrilled to be able to pursue his dream course of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at IIT Bombay.

The Gupta family, residents of Kandivali, had relocated to Andheri to make it more convenient for Yuvaraj to attend Narayana E Tecno School in Marol, where he prepared for the JEE-Advanced. “The past two years have been solely dedicated to studying,” said Yuvaraj, who is determined to put in all the necessary efforts to secure a comfortable future.

As the son of a doctor couple, Yuvaraj had always shown a strong inclination toward mathematics and physics. “Since childhood, all his extracurricular reading has revolved around science, astronomy, etc. He had no interest in Biology,” shared Dr. Anu Gupta, a dentist.

While Yuvaraj used to play cricket and football, the past two years were focused solely on JEE preparation. “I would study for 12 to 15 hours a day. The only break was for some chit-chat with friends from the institute. But it has been truly refreshing,” said Yuvaraj, who credits his achievement to his teachers. He also wants to encourage other students preparing for competitive exams to ask as many questions as possible.
